Luis Mey, a 25-year-old Reds pitcher, has shown significant improvement since his latest recall to Cincinnati's roster this month. After struggling with control issues during his 2025 season—posting a 21.7% walk rate despite a 30.4% strikeout rate—Mey was sent to Triple-A Louisville in June, where he posted a 3.63 ERA over 22⅓ innings with 32 strikeouts. Since returning to the majors, Mey has not walked a batter while pitching multiple innings per appearance, suggesting he may finally develop into a reliable bullpen weapon for manager Terry Francona.
